When I worked as a journalist early in my writing career, I interviewed Kirk Cameron multiple times. Kirk’s kindness, thoughtfulness and passion for Christ made a lasting impression on Leif and I. To this day, whenever we see him at events, he remembers our names, asks about our lives, and still walks in remarkable graciousness.
Kirk’s younger sister, Candace Cameron Bure, carries herself with joy and delight—as most of us watched in awe as she made it to the finals of Dancing With the Stars. Known around the globe from her role as “D.J. Tanner” on Full House, she continues to thrive in the entertainment world as a role model to young women.
It’s a privilege this week to be giving away her new book Dancing Through Life: Steps of Courage and Conviction. How do you stand with conviction in your world? Where does your courage come from when faced with difficulties? She shares intimate details of what it looks like to stay true to yourself and live out your faith under the spotlight.
Also this week, we’re giving away Jen Hatmaker’s latest release, For the Love: Fighting For Grace in a World of Impossible Standards. She, too, explores how to engage in the entertainment spotlight and life’s more controversial issues with grace and love. (Plus, she's HI-larious).
And finally, we’re featuring Emily Freeman’s Simply Tuesday: Small-Moment Living in a Fast-moving World which readers understand the importance of slowing down and embracing your smallness.
To enter, simply comment on this post with what book you'd like to receive. The winners will be selected on Friday.
